Today's question: do you like fingerless gloves to have just a thumbhole or do you prefer a more substantial thumb? crocheting knitting

I knitted my first set of fingerless gloves this year. I prefer the fingerless thumb - not just the hole, but not covering the whole thumb either.
Definitely a substantial thumb! Don't want to leave the little fella out in the cold!
